Justin 013-2

Justin Mccoy is an American Soto Zen Buddhist Monk

who grew up in and around Los Angeles.  After four years in architecture school, he left to become a monk.  Justin spends much of his time in quiet meditation, but he is also working to create the largest Zen Buddhist Temple outside of Japan.  In our conversation, we talk about cultivating happiness, the importance of natural learning for children, the paradox of the self being one with the universe, traditional Japanese building techniques, and much more.  Justin’s is a fascinating story… enjoy!

I talk with the star of the Ultimate Yogi, Travis Eliot.  The Ultimate Yogi is currently the top rated yoga DVD series on Amazon.  But Travis is much more than that – he’s an Ayurveda expert, Kirtan musician, a sought after retreat leader, and the CEO of Inner Domain Media.   We cover a wide range of topic in our conversation including how he found his own among the already crowded field of popular yogis, the importance of rest, trusting your self and your path, and developing a positive mindset with respect to money and spirituality.  We had a great time making this, enjoy!
